A woman has shared her clever trick using an item most women have in their beauty bag to keep your necklace in place all day without having to constantly adjust it.  

Samantha Sickels, a wedding photographer from Wisconsin, US, showed how to keep your necklace clasp from sliding to the front by sticking it to the back of the neck with a dab of eyelash glue in a video posted to TikTok.  

The clip has racked up more than 4.8million views and while Sam called the nifty trick a ‘wedding day hack’ many users said they were keen to use it everyday.

She demonstrated how she adds a spot of eyelash glue to the back of the neck where she wants to the clasp to stay. 

Before sticking the clasp to the glue, she blows on it for a few seconds so it dries slightly, becoming tacky, so it will hold for longer. 

The woman in the video then moves and spins but her necklace stays firmly in place.

The video received more than half a million likes and hundreds of comments from users praising the clever yet simple tip.

‘Doing this everyday so I don’t have to adjust my necklaces at work,’ one woman wrote.

‘This is literally so smart! People think of everything now!’ said another

‘This wouldn’t work for me cause I play with my necklace when I’m anxious,’ joked a third. 

Others were sharing their tricks for holding necklaces in place. 

‘Liquid Band-Aid works better,’ a woman suggested. 

‘Or add a small charm to the clasp to act as a weight,’ a second advised.
