‘My best mate from day 1’: Jamie Redknapp leads the tributes flooding in for his father Harry as he celebrates his 75th birthday
Jamie Redknapp has marked his father’s birthday with a sweet Instagram album.
The former footballer, 48, called Harry – who turned 75 on Wednesday – his ‘best mate from day 1’, while sharing a plethora of happy moments with his followers.
The beaming cover image showed football legend Harry with his son and grandsons, Charley, 17, and Beau 13, who Jamie shares with ex-wife Louise.

Jamie also took a trip down memory lane by sharing a black-and-white snap of him and Harry from decades before, standing on a football pitch in respective kits.
Harry’s wife and Jamie’s mother Sandra also featured in several of the images, in one from the sporting icon’s I’m A Celebrity triumph and another from a holiday in their younger years.
Additional photos focused on highlights from Harry’s career. He was a manager for over three decades, with links to the clubs AFC Bournemouth, West Ham United, Portsmouth, Southampton, Tottenham Hotspur, Queens Park Rangers and Birmingham City.

Among those to comment included Jamie’s wife Frida, who gave birth to their first child Raphael in November.

Last month, Jamie shared an adorable snap of his son, three months, with his lookalike grandfather as they enjoyed a meal at seafood restaurant in Poole.
Jamie took to Instagram to share the clip and wrote what he thought his son might be thinking saying ‘what do you mean everyone says we look like twins? I look nothing like you pop.’
