Arsenal are among a group of Premier League clubs taking a keen interest in West Brom youngster Reyes Cleary after he hit his 30th goal of the season on Monday.

West Brom have offered Cleary a professional contract and included him in first team squads this season. However, the 17-year old has yet to agree to sign and that situation, plus his powerful displays, have been attracting top clubs home and abroad, including German champions Bayern Munich.

Cleary scored twice on Monday as West Brom U23s knocked QPR out of the Premier League Cup. A sharp left footed finish and a curling right footed effort proved the foundation for Albion’s win and reaffirmed Cleary as a prospect to pursue for watching scouts.

As well as Arsenal, Southampton, Newcastle United and Everton have all expressed an interest in signing the stocky teenager while Bayer Leverkusen and Red Bull Salzburg have also watched him throughout the season.

They want to take him abroad with the offer of a faster route to first team football if he continues his current rate of development.

Arsenal and the other sides have registered their interest and are waiting to see what the youngster wants to do.
