DWTS pro Brandon Armstrong announces engagement to girlfriend Brylee Ivers: ‘I’m just so excited for our future together!’

Brandon Armstrong and his girlfriend Brylee Ivers are engaged!

The DWTS pro revealed that he popped the question to his ladylove on Monday and presented her with a custom 3.5-carat engagement ring.

‘I’ve been planning it for a couple months,’ Armstrong, 27, told People of the proposal.

‘Brylee is big on memories. So I was thinking, what if I made a movie trailer that she could keep forever? One of the first times we had a deep conversation was outside a movie theater.’ 

Armstrong, a California native, ended up proposing in his adopted home state of Utah, which is where he received his formal dance training.

Of the proposal, he shared that he ‘wasn’t nervous about anything except her thinking it was incredible.’ 

‘I wanted it to be perfect, as representative of what we’ve done so far, everything we stand for. I wanted it to be big and bright. But I’m not a good talker and crier. I started crying when the trailer came out and I knew I was screwed.’

He continued, ‘All of our best friends and family were there and I walked her down to the front, told her I loved her and can’t wait to start a family with her. I’m just so excited for our future together!’

Armstrong would up announcing the news of their engagement on Instagram on Tuesday. 

‘I made a good decision a while back to ask you on a date…made the BEST decision of my life asking you to be my wife last night! I love you forever bry!’ he wrote in the caption, along with a a red heart emoji.

The couple started dating in early 2021 after Armstrong DM’ed her on Instagram. 

They exchanged messages for about a month, before deciding to met in person and have their first date at The Cheesecake Factory. 

Armstrong, who officially joined the cast of Dancing With The Stars as a troupe member for season 24 in 2017, confessed to being ‘nervous’ for that first date, but that all seemed to dissipate when they he realized ‘how easy the conversation was.’

So far the couple haven’t gone public about their wedding day details, although they promised it will be a ‘fiesta’ of a celebration with their closest friends and family.

‘We just want to celebrate something that’s positive and happy,’ he said of their pending nuptials. ‘We want it to be classic and timeless.’

Armstrong dropped to one knee for the proposal with a 3.5-carat circle diamond that was paired with a gold, diamond band.
