Kate opted for a less-is-more presentation as she skipped most jewelry and wore a pair of ball-shaped drop earrings.

She slicked her blonde hair back into a neat updo that was styled with a side part.

With her tresses off her face her youthful beauty was front and center, highlighted with a soft palette of makeup.

Kate’s blue eyes were brought out with the help of wispy lashes and her cheeks were blushed with a pink hue.

The actress’ dress boasted thin spaghetti straps and flared out into a shell-like display at the bodice.

Her trim waist was cinched by a thin band at her midsection and the bottom of the dress had a subtle flare as well.

Bosworth carried a pearly white clutch and rounded out the ensemble with a pair of backless heels that had clear straps.

Time announced its list of leading women for the year just days ahead of the soiree.

Among the honorees are human rights lawyer Amal Clooney, actress Kerry Washington, and Olympian Allyson Felix.

Time editors Naina Bajekal and Lucy Feldman wrote in an article last week, ‘When we sat down last fall to conceive a version of this project that could become an ongoing tradition, we chose to spotlight leaders who are working to create a better future for women everywhere.’
