Shameless star Jody Latham’s ‘£18million’ filler business now worth £1

Jody Latham has seen his self-proclaimed multi-millionaire status falter according to financial reports for his business.

The Shameless star, 39, previously claimed to have a business worth £18million with Epitique, which supplied dermal fillers to a firm in South Korea.

In documents seen by The Sun, Jody’s company Epitique UK Ltd has been declared dormant.

Accounts filed in February 2022 showed the company had just £1 in assets.

Jody, who played Lip Gallagher on Shameless, previously told how he lives a frugal lifestyle in order to put money back into the business. 

He told The Mirrror: ‘I live in a two-bed flat and drive a modest car. I’m pumping everything back into the company.

‘It’s valued at £18million. We’ll see where we are in a couple of years. I’ve had money before but not in my hands long enough.’

The actor did splurge when he first joined the Channel 4 soap though, treating himself to a new car.

He said: ‘After series one of Shameless, I went with my first wage of £21,000 and bought an Audi convertible. I didn’t even think of rent or food.’ 

Jody got involved with his filler business when he made friends with an extra on Shameless who later became qualified to give administor Botox treatments.

The actor went for some Botox himself and felt so good afterward that he thought there could be a business in it. 

Jody, who has also appeared in shows like EastEnders, Holby City and Casualty, added that he hasn’t given up on acting and hopes there’s more roles in his future.

Jody starred on Shameless from 2004 to 2008 and returned to the show five years later. 

The series, centred on British working class culture, ran for 11 seasons and finished airing in 2013.
