This is the hilarious moment a cheeky baby moved his mother’s stool when she stood up, sending her sprawling onto the floor. 

Footage from Qingdao, in the eastern Chinese coastal province of Shandong,   shows a group of people eating at a table while the baby roams around freely in his walker. 

But when his mother stands up to get some food from the other side of the table, the unlikely prankster glides behind her and grabs her stool.

He toddles away, pushing the seat in front of him, while she and the other diners carry on, oblivious to the tiny prankster’s actions.  

When she tries to sit down she finds that her chair is gone and falls to the ground, while the others burst out laughing.

The baby’s father, who has been only named Mr. Liu, told local media that the 11-month-old boy had called out to his mother a few times apparently asking for food.

When she stood up to take fish for him, he pushed her chair along but she did not realise.

The footage delighted viewers on Douyin, which is what TikTok is called in China. 

One joked: ‘If it weren’t for the surveillance, I can’t believe this is the work of a kid in a diaper.’
