Coles is selling $22 lobsters for Easter along with fresh prawns, salmon and fish – but you’ll have to be quick

  • Coles has reduced the price of WA Rock Lobsters to $22, down from $27 each
  • The promotion began on Wednesday and will continue until stock runs out
  • In previous years the special deal caused a frenzy among customers
  • Customers can also get their hands on fresh prawns and salmon for less

In a bid to help lower the cost of Easter celebrations, Coles has brought back a popular seafood deal.

The supermarket has cut the price of WA Rock Lobsters to $22 each, down from $27, and will run from Wednesday April 6 until stock sell out.

The special price comes in response to a survey which helped determine most Australians value great quality seafood during the holidays.

In previous years the seafood sold out in record-breaking time, and so shoppers are encouraged to act quickly.

Coles General Manager for Bakery, Deli and Seafood, Andy Mossop, said it’s important to reflect on customer sentiments as Coles heads into the second busiest period of the year.

‘We know it’s been a challenging few years for many Australians, and it’s important to understand what our customers are feeling to ensure we can provide the best value and quality on products they need most this Easter,’ he said.

‘We started Easter specials on our hot cross buns and confectionary early this year to help customers spread the cost of the entertaining season – these include 2 packs of hot cross buns for $6 and half price specials on chocolate bunnies and eggs which are perfect for family Easter egg hunts.

‘With Easter just over a week away, we are ready for a massive week of seafood sales with customers buying 200 per cent more fresh seafood compared to any other week of the year.

‘We’re delighted to be able to make great quality and responsibly sourced Australian seafood like WA Rock Lobsters more affordable so our customers can treat themselves over the long weekend.’
