Tina Knowles gushes about her daughters Beyonce and Solange – and family friend Kelly Rowland – in sweet Mother’s Day post: ‘My three girls’

Tina Knowles gushed about her daughters Beyonce and Solange, as well as family friend Kelly Rowland, in a loving Mother’s Day Instagram post.  

The 68-year-old businesswoman shared a shot of the three posing next to each other at a red carpet event that had taken place many years in the past.

The entrepreneur also wrote a short message that read: ‘Solange, Kelly and Beyonce my three girls . So young and free in this photo! Many years later yal are all incredible mothers who make me proud to be your mothers. Happy Mother’s Day to you all !!!’

Knowles shares Beyonce and Solange with her former husband, Richard Knowles, whom she married in 1981.

The pair welcomed their daughters in 1981 and 1986, respectively, before their marriage was dissolved in 2011.

The entrepreneur and her former husband also began caring for Rowland when she came to live with their family at the age of 11.

She became a grandmother with the arrival of Beyonce’s oldest daughter, Blue Ivy, in 2012.

Knowles also considers herself to be a grandmother to Rowland’s children, who arrived in 2014 and 2021.

The designer previously spoke about her relationship to her daughters during an interview with Us Weekly, where she discussed her eventual legacy.

The philanthropist noted that ‘what I want to be remembered by is that I made a difference in life.’

Knowles then made a point of expressing that she wanted her daughters to try and emulate her with regard to leaving a positive impact on their loved ones. 

‘Nothing else matters as much as that. I think that’s a lasting legacy, and I try to teach my children by being an example of that,’ she said.

The entrepreneur also discussed her favorite aspect of being a grandmother and gushed about her grandchildren.

‘Just spending time with them [is the best part]. They make me laugh and they make me feel good. They love you unconditionally,’ she said. 

Knowles made a point of expressing her affection for her daughter Solange and noted that she admired her youngest child’s personality. 

‘All of the awards and accolades and successes as an entertainer is great, but what I am truly most proud of is the fact that she has remained humble and authentic,’ she said.
