The Actors Fund Gala event is hosted by the The Actors Fund, which ‘provides a safety net for performing arts and entertainment professionals over their lifespan.’

Jackman was dapper in a dark grey suit worn over a crisp white shirt. He paired the outfit with a blue tie and black dress shoes.

The Golden Globe Award winner finalized his look with a classy red pocket square poking out from the pocket of his jacket.

The Australian superstar rocked a smooth hairdo, with the back and sides cropped short, blending into the top length that was swept to the side.

Meanwhile Sutton was chic in a flowing white floor-length gown with a simple floral motif on the left side.

The brown-haired beauty wore her shoulder-length tresses parted in the middle and lightly curled.

As for glam, she looked incredible, sporting voluminous lashes and a bright pink lipstick on her pout.

Double the Tony Awards: On Monday it was revealed that both Jackman and Foster have been nominated for a Tony Award for their performances in the hit Broadway show

In 2004, Hugh, 53, took home a Tony award in the Best Leading Actor category for playing the role of Peter Allen in The Boy from Oz.

The Tony Awards are considered Broadway’s most prestigious prize – the American theatre’s version of the Oscars.

Meanwhile Sutton has won the prestigious honor twice, and has been nominated a total of seven times.

Meredith Wilson’s The Music Man revival opened on Broadway in February, and has been nominated for a total of six Tony Awards together.

In the famous toe-tapping musical, which was made into a film in 1962, Hugh plays a cheerful, but unscrupulous con man Harold Hill. Sutton plays his love interest, librarian Marian Paroo.

Hill manages to persuade the little town of River City to buy musical instruments they do not know how to play. In return the charmer promises to keep River City free of ‘sin.’

Tickets for the show cost as much as $240 – some of the most expensive seats on Broadway.

The pair recently sat down with Seth Meyers on Late Night to discuss the show, with Jackman admitting that he was ‘intimidated’ to work with Sutton.

‘I was certainly intimidated. This is a six-time Tony nominee, two-time winner. Like I saw her do Thoroughly Modern Millie when you were like four years old,’ he joked.
