The childhood home of Jasmine Stefanovic has been snapped up by an exclusive private school for a cool $4.1 million. 

The gorgeous six-bedroom 19th century mansion, located in the prestigious Ascot neighbourhood of Brisbane, was purchased by St. Margaret’s Anglican School as soon as it went on the market.

Jasmine, who is married to Today show host Karl Stefanovic, first lived on the magnificent 771m2 block as a teenager when her parents, Bob and Cheryl Yarbrough, bought the home for $485,000 in 1997.

St. Margaret’s Anglican School, also known as ‘Maggie’, is part of the Society of the Sacred Advent Schools, a religious order founded in Brisbane in 1892.

The Society operate nearby St. Margaret’s and own all of the property in one street in Ascot. 

Located on high-ground only 6.6kms from Brisbane’s CBD, Jasmine’s family home is a superb model of Colonial Queensland style.

The 47-year-old Channel Nine star said he was relieved it failed to sell at auction.

The five-bedroom, five-bathroom home in Sunshine Beach, Noosa, went under the hammer in March, but there were no takers willing to meet the $7.5million reserve.

Karl and Jasmine, who are based in Sydney, will now use the property as a weekender.
