An Australian man has impressed thousands with the incredible replica old school milk bar he set up in his home. 

Posting to a popular Facebook group Old Shops Australia, Anthony Launer said he was inspired to create his own vintage store in his home in Thailand because of the wonderful memories he has as a child.   

‘When you love the memories of the Old Shops so much as a child that you need to create one at home. A mix of wonderful memories all in the one room,’ the 50s-fan said.

The spectacular retro-themed room is decked out floor-to-ceiling with vintage signage, advertisements, containers, gas cans, photos, trinkets, foods and drinks from decades past.

The nostalgic replica store shows how times have changed over the years with Milo being advertised as a ‘tonic’, cigarette signs a-plenty and displays for long-gone brands such as Bex medicines, Leed Lemonade, and Monkey Brand soap. 

Anthony’s fabulous collection brought back memories for many in the group, drawing in hundreds of likes and a string of comments. 

‘This is where I would sit for my morning coffee for sure , I love it,’ one woman said.

‘Oh, wow! This is amazing! What a creative way to display your collection! People would pay money to see this!’ a second exclaimed. 

‘Woww makes me happy just looking at your amazing collection of things that take me back to an era no more,’  wrote a third. 

Anthony, who brought most of the items all the way over to Thailand when he moved from Australia, said he uses the retro room as a work space and plays fifties music in the background to add to the ambience.
