Word is spreading about a beautiful coastal town dubbed Australia’s ‘best kept secret’ – and its perfect for a beachside escape or home buyers looking for a sea-change. 

Attracting tourists and potential residents, Agnes Waters and its sister town of 1770 (Seventeen Seventy), are an hour and a half south of Gladstone and a five hour’s drive from the Sunshine Coast, Queensland.

Since 2016, the laid-back town’s population has soared from 2,200 to 6,300 residents with interstate tourists falling in love with its spectacular scenery and easy-going community.
