  • Inter Milan defender Alessandro Bastoni won Serie A with Antonio Conte
  • Spurs have already signed one of Bastoni’s team-mates in winger Ivan Perisic
  • Man United are interested in Bastoni but may need to prioritise other positions

Manchester United have enquired about Inter Milan defender Alessandro Bastoni.

The Italy international is a target for Tottenham boss Antonio Conte though Inter value the 23-year-old at around £50million.

He appeared 44 times for his club last season and is becoming a regular starter for Italy.

Inter Milan defender Alessandro Bastoni is targeted by both Man United and Tottenham

Conte previously forged a successful relationship with Bastoni and the pair won the league together at Inter.

Tottenham would seem to be the obvious choice for the defender, given his existing relationship with the manager and the guarantee of Champions League football next season.

Spurs have already signed one Inter player this summer by bringing in Croatian winger Ivan Perisic.

Spurs acquired Rodrigo Bentancur and Dejan Kulusevski from Juventus in the January transfer window as Conte and sporting director Fabio Paratici tapped into Italy’s best available assets.

The Juve duo played a crucial part in Tottenham finishing fourth and the north London club seem keen to raid Italy for more talent this summer.

While United are going through a total rebuild over the upcoming months following a woeful season and the arrival of new manager Erik ten Hag.
