The stylish Totoro House is named after and inspired by the Studio Ghibli movie ‘My Neighbor Totoro’ and sits in Russel Lea in Sydney’s inner-west.
Designed by Sydney-based firm CplusC Architectural Workshop, the original house was renovated and extended utilising the Japanese concept of ‘Shakkei’, meaning ‘borrowed scenery’, which is the ancient technique of seamlessly incorporating outside scenery in the home’s design.
