Carrie Johnson donned her favourite power colour today for her big moment as she arrived in Rwanda with Prime Minister Boris Johnson.

The mother-of-two wore a pink Zara suit, teamed with a vibrant Tabitha Webb pink and red silk Hawaiin shirt in leopard print, which costs £325.

She completed the look with a trendy colour clash, wearing the same red Dune shoes she donned for the Service of Thanksgiving at St Paul’s for the Queen’ Platinum Jubilee

Hot pink is very much the colour of the summer, and it’s a shade Mrs Johnson frequently turns to for big occasions.

Mr Johnson is attending the Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting (Chogm), chaired by Prince Charles.

Carrie’s hot pink ensemble included a blazer featuring button detailing as well as a flattering shape, and boasted wide leg trousers.

Letting her statement outfit do the talking, Mrs Johnson opted for a simple pair of dainty golden hoop earrings.

She completed her look by adding a touch of glamorous makeup to her features and kept her locks down.

Proving pink is seemingly her go-to power colour, for Trooping the Colour, she recycled an £85 fuschia dress from & Other Stories, which she previously wore to the Conservative Party Conference in October 2019.

It is understood Mr Jonson will visit Prince Charles for a cup of tea tomorrow morning, after apparent clashes about the policy of deporting Channel migrants to Rwanda.

But Mr Johnson is not eager to raise the policy of removing migrants who arrive by unauthorised means on a one-way ticket.

The meeting will be the first time they have spoken since the service for the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee.

Speaking as he prepared to fly to Kigali, Mr Johnson said the trip is an opportunity ‘for us all to understand for ourselves what that partnership has to offer’.

‘Let’s hope perhaps help others to shed some of their condescending attitudes to Rwanda and how that partnership might work,’ he added.

But the PM is not intending to visit the accommodation in Kigali where migrants who arrive by unauthorised means would be deported to.
