Di Maria remains a high calibre player and has generated interest across the continent, including at Barcelona and former club Benfica.
La Gazzetta dello Sport, as per Sport, previously reported that Di Maria ‘grew tired’ of waiting for Barcelona and has informed Juventus he is ready to sign a deal.
Now it is Juventus who are ‘getting closer’ and negotiations between Di Maria and the Turin-based club are said to be ‘almost final’ with just a few final elements to sort.
The annual salary Di Maria will reportedly get is expected to be linked to appearances and ‘objectives’ which will act as bonuses.

The tricky winger then signed for Real Madrid before an ill-fated spell with Manchester United preceded a 2015 switch to PSG.
For his country, Di Maria, 34, has 122 senior caps for Argentina, in which he scored 25 goals and won the Copa America last summer.
