MAFS: Beck Zemek says she isn’t trying to lose weight after giving birth

Former Married At First Sight star Beck Zemek has revealed she isn’t fussed about losing weight after welcoming her daughter Immy in May.

The 29-year-old said during an Instagram Q&A on Thursday that new mothers should ‘stop putting pressure on your body to do more than it just did’.

Beck stressed that family and recovery is her priority for the time being, not getting back to her ‘pre-baby body’.

Beck proudly showcased her postpartum body in a series of selfies.

One photo she took of herself in the bathroom was captioned: ‘I’m not doing anything to lose weight and I don’t know why you would want to?’

She wrote next to another selfie showing off her torso: ‘I will always love my body but now not for what it looks like… but for what it is able to do.’

She concluded: ‘I wish more mums see it this way.’

Beck rose to fame last year on MAFS Australia. 

She failed to find love with her on-screen ‘husband’ Jake Edwards, and later rekindled her romance with boyfriend Ben Michell.

The couple announced last year they were expecting their first child, and Beck gave birth to their daughter on May 29.

Beck went on to appear on Nine’s Celebrity Apprentice earlier this year.

The official MAFS Instagram account was quick to congratulate the couple on the birth of Immy, posting: ‘Congratulations to @BeckZemek and her partner Ben on the arrival of their beautiful baby girl.’
