Tessa Thompson seen checking out of NYC hotel as she gets help from pal loading her bags

Tessa Thompson cut a casual figure on Wednesday afternoon as she checked out of her hotel in New York City.

The Creed star, 38, rocked a black V-neck sweater styled with some trendy wide-legged trousers as she exited her lodgings.

She was captured sharing a friendly hug with a male pal after he graciously helped carry her luggage out on a trolley.

The unidentified young man, also donning all-black, rolled the luggage cart towards a nearby vehicle and tossed two suitcases into the trunk.

The pair chatted briefly and shared one final hug before Thompson slipped into the back of the vehicle.

For her car ride out of NYC, Thompson wore her long, braided brunette hair in a half up half down hairstyle that was secured in place with a large black bow.

Though she has no issue showing public affection for her pals, Thompson is notorious for keeping her romantic life private.

But still, over the years, she has been linked romantically to several high-profile people.

In 2015, she was believed to have have been dating singer/actor Janelle Monae after starring as a backup dancer in their Yoga video, according to PopSugar.

The pair were also seen together at the 2015 MOCA gala, and three years later Thompson was featured in Monae’s music video for Dirty Computer.

Then, in an interview with Net-A-Porter in 2018, Thompson confessed that she and Monae loved each other very deeply and that she’s fine if people speculate about what they are to each other.

She would later clarify in a tweet that, ‘I didn’t say I was in a relationship. But I said lots of other things.’

After being spotted out together several times in 2019 and 2020, Thompson was rumored to be dating English singer Dev Hynes (formally Lightspeed Champion).

Just last year, the Los Angeles native was seen getting cozy with Taika Waititi and his pop star girlfriend Rita Ora. In one photo, Thompson was seen kissing Ora, and in another picture, the three are intimately embracing each other. The actress never came forward to address the headline-making PDA with Ora and Waititi.

Most recently, Thompson has been shooting Creed III with Michael B. Jordan, who’s serving as both the leading man, as Adonis Creed, and the film’s director.
