Jenna Dewan cries after she sends her nine-year-old daughter Everly Tatum off to sleepaway camp

Jenna Dewan became emotional after sending her nine-year-old daughter Everly Tatum off to sleepaway camp for the first time.

On Sunday, the 41-year-old actress, who shares Everly with her ex Channing Tatum, 42, took to her Instagram Story to post photos as she bid her daughter farewell before she left for summer camp.

‘Then one day she grows up and wants to go to sleepaway camp,’ Jenna wrote on a photo in which Everly was seen standing in front of a bus and flashing a peace sign.

Jenna’s fiancé Steve Kazee, 46, and their son Callum, two, were by the Step Up star’s side as they said goodbye to Everly before she boarded the bus.

The dancer shared a sweet photo of the two siblings embracing, writing, ‘She asked for like 20 hugs from Callum.’  

The Connecticut native also posted another photo in which she was seen holding Callum and leaning in as Steve snapped a selfie of the trio. 

‘Cheering crew,’ Jenna wrote on the image.  

In another photo, The Rookie performer was seen in the car with tears pouring down her face as Steve beamed at the camera.

‘Aaaand i held it together until the car,’ she wrote, adding a crying smiley emoji and a laughing while crying smiley emoji. 

The brunette beauty also included a photo in which she and her little girl were seen laying in bed as they gazed up at the camera. 

Jenna concluded her Story by posting a snap in which she showed off her new hair extensions.

She wrote, ‘I am coping with fresh inches by @cherilynrachelle.’ 

Channing and Jenna announced their split in 2018 after nine years of marriage. 

They finalized the divorce the following year and reached a custody deal over Everly in 2020. 

The co-parents have equally split custody and cannot include Everly in any for-profit social media posts, according to The Blast.

Jenna and Steve began dating in October 2018 and announced that they were expecting their first child together in September 2019.

The pair revealed that they were engaged in February 2020 after Steve popped the question at Callum’s baby shower.

In May, Jenna discussed the most important piece of parenting advice that she had ever received in an interview with E! News.

‘Kids download you,’ she told the outlet. ‘They watch you more than they learn from you and what you tell them, they download. 

‘What they see you do and your actions and how you speak about yourself, how you speak about other people, is all informing their own view of themselves in the world. 

‘And that was pretty life-changing to me and I changed my perspective in that way.’
