Leeds United are considering whether to revive interest in Rangers winger Ryan Kent.

The 25-year-old has one year left on his contract and the Whites have been long-term admirers of the Englishman.

The Premier League club tried to buy Kent in 2020 but the player was happy to stay at Ibrox playing under then-manager Steven Gerrard.

Leeds also plotted a £15million move for Kent last year but were unsuccessful again in their bid to land the tricky winger.

Kent cost Rangers an initial £6.5m with add ons when he joined from Liverpool in 2019 while his current deal has a sell-on clause.

So far this season, Kent has three assists in his opening three Scottish Premiership games for Rangers and helped the Gers reach the Champions League group stages.

Following last week’s Champions League group stage draw, Kent will now get to face his former club twice in the group stage which could be enticing enough for him to stay put.

Leeds winger Dan James is attracting interest from Tottenham so Jesse Marsch would be keen to bring in a replacement for the window should they decide to send him out on loan to Spurs.

As previously reported by Sportsmail, James would fit the requirements of Spurs, who want to get a replacement winger in before they allow Bryan Gil to join Valencia.

Everton are also rumoured to be in pursuit of James as a replacement for Anthony Gordon, who may be on his way to Chelsea in a £60m switch.
