In one of the most offensively inconsistent games of the NFL season, the Chargers and Broncos went to overtime – with the Chargers winning in overtime on a Dustin Hopkins field goal by a score of 19-16.
A game that was considered in the preseason to be a high-profile quarterback matchup resulted in neither Russell Wilson nor Justin Herbert passing for more than 250 yards.
Only two touchdowns were scored – one by each team – as field goal kicking was at a premium. With the Broncos Brandon McManus going 3/3 on FGs and the Chargers’ Dustin Hopkins knocking through four – including the game winner.
This is a developing story. More to come.
