Shaughna Phillips is pregnant! Love Island star confirms she is expecting her first child

Former Love Island star Shaughna Phillips has announced she is pregnant in a short Instagram video shared with followers on Wednesday evening. 

The TV personality, who featured on Love Island’s winter spin-off in 2020, shared an ultrasound of the growing foetus following a check-up at her local hospital this week.  

Shaughna, 28, also shared a brief clip of her positive pregnancy test, shortly after discovering she was carrying a first child with her boyfriend, whose identity has not been disclosed. 

The confirmation comes just days after Shaugna admitted to feeling ill at Thursday’s National Television Awards and had to be helped out of the venue by her manager after appearing to faint. 

She explained: ‘If anyone saw my ‘exit’ from the NTAs. I wasn’t drunk, I nearly fainted.

‘I don’t know what happened to me I just had this absolute dodgy turn and had to take my shoes off and be helped out by my manager and now I’m in bed.

‘Just in case anyone did see and thought “f***ing hell she’s seen better days” – correct – but I weren’t drunk.’ [sic] 

A source told The Sun: ‘Shaughna said she was feeling unwell and then fainted. It was really worrying for everyone with her.

‘She was taken care of and then she was sent back to her hotel. Shaughna was pretty upset by it all. It was a horrible thing to happen.’

In April, Shaugna confirmed that she is dating a new mystery man and is glad he wants to stay out of the public eye.

The reality personality said it would be ‘weird’ if he wanted the attention she gets, but admitted he’s fitted in perfectly at home with her two French Bulldogs Biggie and Bunnie.

She told the So This Is Adulting podcast: ‘I’ve been dating someone who is also a surrogate dad to my fur babies.’

When asked if her new boyfriend was famous, Shaughna continued: ‘No, no, no… I used to say [to my dates], ‘I’d like to keep my relationship private, if that’s ok with you?’ 

‘And if they said, “oh no, why would you keep my private?” I’m like, red flag. But this guy was like, “I don’t ever want to be in the public eye anyway,” and I was like, I like that answer.

‘Ever since then, we’ve been going from strength to strength, and I like that because anyone who opts in for everyone to know their every move, like myself, is weird.’

Shaughna starred on the sixth season of Love Island and first coupled up with Callum Jones in the villa.

However, their brief relationship ended after Callum brought Molly Smith back from a stay in Casa Amor.

She was later dumped from the villa when Luke Mabbott couple-up with Demi Jones instead of her.
