Princess Sofia of Sweden is effortlessly elegant as she kicks off day two of royal visit

Princess Sofia of Sweden looked sophisticated as ever as she and her husband kicked off day two of their visit to Värmland – a historical county in the nation.

The royal, 37, stunned in a cool-toned ensemble comprised of a colour-block printed midi skirt and burgundy turtleneck.

Smiling for photos with Prince Carl Philip, she finished the look off with a chic black coat and heeled leather boots.

The princess opted for minimal make-up, styling her highlighted blonde tresses in sophisticated waves.

They were also welcomed to look at wind turbines in Knöstad, with green energy company Siemens Gamesa last night tweeting: ‘Today we were honored to have both Prince Carl Phillip and Princess Sofia of Sweden visit our SG 5.8-170 turbines at the Knöstad wind project!

‘It was great to have a royal visit at the project powering 26,000 Swedish households.’

The royals’ Instagram account today featured snippets of the visit on Stories, including a clip of the prince and princess at pen-writing company Ballograf, featuring Sofia having a go at one of the machines.

The couple earlier this year shared a sweet family photograph – and wished the country a ‘wonderful summer’.

The image, posted on Instagram, pictured the proud parents with their three children: Prince Alexander, five, Prince Gabriel, four and Prince Julian, one.

The family sat together in a field of daisies in the joyful snap, with Princes Alexander and Gabriel grasping flowers in their hands.

Princess Sofia held her eldest son on her lap, while her husband stayed close to the younger two boys.

In the caption of the image, the royal family wrote: ‘Our family wishes you all a wonderful summer!’
