‘England’s best defender isn’t going’: Fans are left ‘devastated’ and ‘heartbroken’ as it is confirmed Chelsea star Reece James is OUT of the Qatar World Cup due to injury
England fans have reacted with devastation after the news Reece James will miss the World Cup with a knee injury.
It was confirmed on Tuesday that the Chelsea defender, 22, will not be selected by Three Lions manager Gareth Southgate in his official 26-man squad for the Qatar tournament.
His absence comes as a big blow to Southgate, with James almost certain to be a starter at either right wing-back or right centre-back had he recovered from the ligament damage in time.
