Girl, 13, who raised fears when she went missing after leaving school is found safe and well

A 13-year-old girl who disappeared after leaving school, sparking an urgent appeal by police, has been found safe and well. 

The teenager, named Paige, was last seen leaving her school in the Swanpool area of Lincoln at 2.45pm on Thursday.

But the youngster did not return home, triggering a major operation by Lincolnshire Police to find her.

The force issued an alert in the early hours of this morning, urging the public to remain vigilant and to call police if Paige is sighted.

But hours after the appeal went out, the force confirmed the schoolgirl had been found.

A police spokesperson said: ‘We are relieved to report that missing Paige has been found safe and well.

‘Thank you to everyone who helped us to share the appeal.’
