Paula Abdul braves the cold in edgy black trench coat in NYC

She’s preparing for her very first appearance in the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade. 

And Paula Abdul braved the cold in style as she promoted her upcoming performance in New York on Wednesday.

The showbiz icon, 60, bundled up in an edgy black trench coat as she arrived to the Today show.

The star worked a head full of perfectly glossy waves and face glammed up with an expertly applied coat of makeup.

Long, full lashes, a glossy slick of red lipstick, and peachy blush enhanced her natural beauty.

She accessorized the look with a glossy leather purse and tortoise hair clip.

A pair of glossy black platform heels gave her petite stature a boost.

Paula will be performing her classic hit Straight Up at tomorrow’s Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade.  

Speaking of her appearance on Today, Paula said she had been dreaming of being in the parade since she was a little girl. 

‘Since I was a little girl, I’d beg my parents, “I want to be on a float! I want to be on a float! I want to be on a balloon!”… this is a childhood bucket list for me,’ she said. 

She described the thrill of rehearsing her performance in New York City the evening prior. 

‘Just last night I was on the street, blocking what we’re going to be doing as a performance, and it was just so exciting just being there and doing that. I can’t imagine what it’s going to feel like being on the float,’ she said. 

Paula can be spotted on Jennie-O’s Big Turkey Spectacular float during the yearly star-studded celebration. 

She took to social media on Tuesday to encourage her fans to tune in for the special.

In an Instagram reel with behind-the-scenes outtakes she said to her followers: ‘Getting ready for the @macys Thanksgiving Day Parade.…Are you READY?! 2 more days!!!!’
