The Serenity actor explained how some of the money raised has helped a local school in his hometown.

‘Yesterday, Camila and I went to one of the high schools that we’re working with over here. And then we go there and ask the kids, “What’s one of your favorite things about the class?” and they tell us, “Oh, I finally have a safe place to go after school.”

‘We’re like, “Oh, we didn’t even think about that.” So simple things that these kids are getting, that is helping them make choices that… they can prevent getting in trouble before they need to cure it later in life. That’s what excites me about it.’

When it comes to helping others, the Dallas Buyer’s Club star said opportunities were all around.

‘If we’re in the helping people out business, we all have job security forever, and then some.’

‘And now it’s a reality and to see that you’re enhancing kids lives, you’re changing kids lives and you’re saving kids lives is really powerful.’

Academy of Country Music award winner Jack Ingram said for him, it’s all about the kids.

‘The compassion we have for children that aren’t born so lucky, and aren’t in the situation we’re in… for us to be able to give back and give them a leg up is important to us, all three of us.’

The Am I Right or Amarillo artist said he hopes others will take the opportunity to pay it forward. ‘If somebody cares, give.’
