Southampton are showing an interest in Saarbrucken midfielder Luca Kerber.

The 21-year-old has earned rave reviews for his displays in the German third tier and is attracting admirers from across Europe.

A number of EFL teams are tracking midfielder Kerber, with Southampton among the clubs keen as they look to reinforce in the middle of the park following the departures of James Ward-Prowse and Romeo Lavia.

Kerber has already amassed in excess of 80 games despite his young age and is set to leave this summer.

Saarbrucken recently rejected a £400,000 offer for the young German from Brondby in the Danish Super League. Saarbrucken value the player at around £850,000.
