Tailoring is an all-year-round trend, but not all suits are created equal. Some fabrics lend themselves better to colder months, and we’re seeing fresh takes on the trend that will elevate your wardrobe for autumn. Here’s how to wear it now…

The new suit

• Swap linen for a heavier fabric such as corduroy.
• Opt for a pale colour palette, such as white or cream. 
• For a cool, androgynous look, accessorise with chunky loafers or trainers. Pointed ankle boots will keep the look feminine.
• Wear with a plain tee and gold jewellery for a minimal vibe. Maximalists can have fun with a printed blouse.
