New England Patriots owner Robert Kraft is ‘open to firing Bill Belichick’ as he grows frustrated with the teams abysmal start to the 2023 season

If Bill Belichick could get fired, then no one is safe in their job.

The New England Patriots have drastically fallen from their heights in 2019 – when they won their last Super Bowl. Now the team owns a 1-4 record and there’s no sign of any positive change in sight.

That’s left team owner Robert Kraft frustrated, with reports from Jeff Howe of The Athletic indicating that he has become angry with the team’s lack of success.

It’s apparently gotten to the point that Kraft could consider firing Belichick if things don’t improve any time soon.

Belichick is widely considered to be one of the greatest coaches in the history of the sport – if not THE greatest.

His six Super Bowl titles as a head coach are the most of any in the sport’s history and his 330 wins are second most all time.

Belichick has been projected to match – or surpass – the all-time wins record set by former Miami Dolphins head coach Don Shula in 2023.

But at the current rate, there are now doubts that Belichick could catch up to Shula’s 347 wins by next year.
