A popular hairstyling and make-up company with salons around Sydney and a bevy of celebrity clients including Jackie O and Pip Edwards has fallen into liquidation.

BBC Operations Pty Ltd – which trades as Blow Bar Co Operations and runs salons in the Sydney CBD, Bronte and Balmain – had liquidators appointed on Monday, according to documents filed with the corporate regulator ASIC.

The news – which the company insists is the result of an internal restructure – will come as a shock to many who had frequented the company’s ritzy salons.

Blow Bar Co recently did the hair styling and make-up for Jackie O Henderson and best friend Gemma O’Neill’s launch of their event-based business Besties.

David Michael Stimpson, from insolvency firm SV Partners, has been appointed liquidator.

A Blow Bar Co spokeswoman told Daily Mail Australia the liquidation – where a company’s affairs and assets are finalised for creditors – was an internal restructure.

‘It’s business as usual and there has been no financial impact to clients, staff or suppliers.

‘This internal restructure will ensure business continuity and growth.’
