BRITs 2020: Maya Jama attends same afterparty as ex Stormzy following rapper’s big win

BRITs 2020: Maya Jama wows in a shimmering blue minidress as she attends same afterparty as ex Stormzy following rapper’s big win

She was among the audience members when her ex-boyfriend Stormzy triumphed at the 2020 BRIT Awards on Tuesday night.

And Maya Jama, 25, latter attended the same afterparty as the 26-year-old rapper when they stepped out for the Warner Music bash at London’s Chiltern Firehouse.

The TV personality looked sensational as she arrived at the star-studded soirée in a shimmering blue minidress, which boasted an embellished scooped neckline.

Maya was on hand to watch former boyfriend Stormzy win Best Male Artist at the annual event on Tuesday evening.

The grime star thanked his management after beating Harry Styles, Lewis Capaldi, Dave and Michael Kiwanuka to the coveted award.

Appearing to reference the apparent shortage of female nominees at this year’s ceremony, he added: ‘I’ve got the most incredible females on my team.’

In January Stormzy fought back tears as he struggled to perform a song he wrote about his ex-girlfriend.

The rapper started to rap the lyrics to new song Lessons at the Rose Theatre in Kingston upon Thames, but within a few seconds appeared to be overcome with emotion.

‘Hey, help me out here guys’ the chart topper can be heard saying to the crowd as they cheer him on and sing the next few lines.

Stormzy appeared to stumble over the line ‘I done the dirt and then I figured that you’ll dig it out’, which is believed to be written about a ‘reckless night’ he had with singer Jorja Smith – although he flatly denies this.
