As the squirrel desperately tries to scrabble up, he starts moving his legs faster and faster but appears stuck in place.
After exhausting himself, he relaxes his legs and slowly slides to the bottom of the pole.
Instead of just jumping off the pole the squirrel defiantly clings on while he slides down the pole.
While holding on to the pole his keeps his eyes longingly fixed on the top of the bird feeder at the seed it is holding.

The bird feed owner said: ‘I decided to use extra virgin olive oil to impair their ascent up the pole. They seem to quite like the taste of it, licking up any dribbles that landed in the grass’
