Married At First Sight newlyweds Michael Goonan and Stacey Hampton admitted to consummating their TV marriage during a recent commitment ceremony.

And now groom Michael has slammed the other couples for not being as open or honest about the state of their own relationships.

In a sneak peek video from Wednesday’s episode, he unleashed on his co-stars: ‘I’m sick of having to sit there and people sugarcoat it [their relationship].’

The clip shows Michael and Stacey venting about their co-stars as they drive to attend the cast dinner party.

Hitting out at some of the other husband and wife duos, he said: ‘They basically just give this false “oh no, no, no, everything’s great, we have a fantastic relationship we’re in love”… except it’s “no, no, we’re not ready to kiss each other yet”.’

His blonde TV wife Stacey agreed, adding: ‘yeah, why are we the only ones who have been honest throughout?’

‘Yeah, it would have been lovely to keep everything private, but how are we going to get good advice from the experts if we aren’t honest?’ Michael said, clearly frustrated.

Stacey said by being honest the experts were able to give them ‘good advice’ about ‘preparing for hurdles’, which they used during intimacy week.

‘This week was intimacy week, not go-home-and-hold-hands-with-your-partner week,’ Michael quipped, as Stacey chuckled.

He jokingly ended the conversation by saying: ‘Sex isn’t everything in a relationship, but it’s right up there with oxygen.’

The only other couple to hint at having sex on the show so far have been Josh Pihlak and Cathy Evans.
