The 11th Annual Diane von Furstenberg Awards were hosted in the United States capital of Washington, D.C. on Wednesday.
The event honors women who have demonstrated leadership, strength and courage in their commitment to women’s causes.
Legendary supermodel, and event honoree, Iman and model and entrepreneur Karlie Kloss were among the high-profile people to grace the red carpet before the ceremony where Hilary Clinton took the stage.

Iman, who was one of the four women honored with DVF awards, showed off her statuesque figure in a black and lime-green dress that hugged her world-class curves.
The number’s plunging design flaunted her cleavage, as she stylishly wore a matching blazer over her shoulders.
The Somalia native, 64, rounded out her ensemble with black open-toed heels and wore her dark tresses long, with an array of curls, and a part in the middle.

Kloss, 29, opted for a a more leggy piece in a black sequined mini-dress that was cinched-in at the waist with a tie-belt.
The Illinois native, who was declared one of top 30 models of the 2000s by Vogue Paris when she was just 17, also donned black heels and styled her blonde tresses long and a part on the left.
At one point, the two models shared the spotlight with the event’s founder, Diane von Furstenberg, who wore a long black sequined dress that came down to her ankles.
The legendary fashion designer, 73, matched it perfectly with black heels and her raven tresses flowing past her shoulders with some added volume.

Along with Iman, other honorees include US Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsberg; Priti Patkar, who has worked to improve conditions of prisons in Mexico and prison reform; and Saskia Nino de Rivera, who has worked for decades on combating human trafficking.
The DVF Awards were founded in 2010 by Diane von Furstenberg and the Diller-von Furstenberg Family Foundation to recognize and support extraordinary women who are dedicated to transforming the lives of other women, according to www.dmf.com.
The Diller-von Furstenberg Family Foundation grants each honoree $50,000 for their non-profit organization in order to further their work.
