Dancing On Ice pro Hamish Gaman to RETURN to show after pulling out amid the aftermath of drama with ex-partner Caprice Bourret

Dancing On Ice professional Hamish Gaman will appear on Sunday night’s episode – his first time on the show since his nasty clash with former contestant Caprice Bourret.

Hamish, 36, didn’t appear last week, declaring he was having the worst time of his life, as the aftermath with Caprice escalated, before she eventually quit the series.

But Hamish took to social media on Sunday to post: ‘Hi everyone. I’m excited to be returning to @dancingonice tonight. Thank you to everyone who reached out to me when I was really struggling.

‘It just goes to show how powerful a few kind words can be. When I felt like I was under attack, you were there for me, and I’m so grateful for your support and kindness.’

Tagging his pals from last year’s series, he added: ‘To my friends in this photo: @saaraaalto @jamesjordan1978 @alex_lukasz @vanessabauer_skates and @wes.nelson your support and kindness means more to me than you’ll ever know. See everybody on the ice tonight #dancingonice.’

This comes just a week after releasing the following emotional statement: ‘The past three-and-a-half months have been the worst of my life, and I’m struggling. It might look like things have been calming down, but they aren’t.

‘Numerous defamatory articles have been stopped from running in the press over the past few weeks. These untrue stories are continually being fed to the press by a “source”.

‘I’ve been told by various people where these articles and source quotes are coming from, and it’s clear that they’re trying to destroy my reputation. It’s become relentless and I feel extremely vulnerable. I’m asking them to stop.’
