Married At First Sight in ‘LOCKDOWN’: Producers ‘go into crisis mode after one of the brides has a panic attack on set’ during an explosive argument

Tensions reached boiling point during filming of Married At First Sight last year, with producers enforcing strict rules after one of the brides reportedly had a panic attack.

The woman in question suffered the panic attack when the cast members’ behaviour ‘got too out of hand’, a source claimed to NW magazine.

Following the alleged incident, the ‘participants were forced into an emergency lockdown for 24 hours’, according to the publication.

The insider claimed that all of the couples were told to stay in their hotel rooms for ’24 hours’ and weren’t even allowed to go downstairs to the lobby.  

A 7pm curfew was also enforced after the worrying episode.

Daily Mail Australia has contacted Channel Nine for comment.

Married At First Sight was filmed between September and December last year, with production based at the Skye Suites apartment complex in Sydney’s CBD.

It comes after Sunday night’s commitment ceremony saw the couples pushed to breaking point.

Viewers were shocked as Mikey Pembroke and Natasha Spencer had a screaming match in front of the relationship experts.

The operations manager, 29, chose to leave the experiment after his ‘wife’ had disrespected him by joking about his sexual performance at last week’s dinner party.

But a remorseful Natasha chose to stay, which means they must live together for another week and try to work through their issues. 

Meanwhile, Married At First Sight’s first lesbian couple called it quits altogether.

Amanda Micallef and Tash Herz both voted to leave after three weeks of misery, rejection and tears.
