BlacKkKlansman actress Laura Harrier is set to star in Ryan Murphy’s highly anticipated Netflix mini-series Hollywood.

And the 29-year-old beamed with excitement as she stepped out on Sunday evening to attend a screening of the series that intends to hit the streaming platform on May 1.

Harrier flaunted her svelte frame in a mismatched floral pantsuit as she posed with fellow castmates at the event held at the San Vicente Bungalows.

The series will follow ‘aspiring actors as they attempt to navigate the changing industry’ in Los Angeles post-World War II.

Laura Harrier will star as ‘Camille’ alongside actor Darren Criss, as well as other Ryan Murphy realm alums David Corenswet, Patti LuPone, and Dylan McDermott.

Harrier’s involvement in the project was announced in late September.

At the evening’s screening, the actress posed for a picture with actress Mira Sorvino, who is set to make a guest appearance in the mini-series.

She also cozied up to actress and activist Laverne Cox, as well as Pose star Janet Mock.

Before the screening commenced, the Spider-Man: Homecoming actress and some of her Hollywood co-stars gathered around for a picture beside the series’ promotional poster.

Jake Picking, Alexis Martin Woodall, David Corenswet, Michelle Krusiec, Jeremy Pope, Laura Harrier, Janet Mock, Dylan McDermott, Mira Sorvino, Ian Brennan, and Maude Apatow all warmly smiled for the nearby shutterbugs.

Hollywood is Murphy’s second series with Netflix, first hitting the platform in 2019 with his comedy-drama The Politician, which starred Broadway alum Ben Platt and Bohemian Rhapsody actress Lucy Boynton.

According to Murphy, ‘each character [in the show] will face different biases that are often seen in Hollywood, including discrimination based on race, gender and sexuality.’

The idea for the series was a collaborative effort between Criss and Murphy who were not in attendance at the evening’s screening.

‘Ryan and I had dinner where he shared that he wanted to do a period piece that was young and optimistic. We landed on the idea of a series covering several narratives from 1940s Hollywood. Two days later Netflix bought it. Not only is that a testament to the magic of Ryan Murphy, it’s a reminder of the kind of thing that can only happen in Hollywood…literally,’ wrote Criss of the show’s origin on his Instagram back in September.
