An 18-year-old new mother and her four-week-old son who have now been missing for four days went ‘to meet a man’ before they disappeared, their heartbroken family claim.

Mother-of-one Kashalea Storm James was last seen on Claude Road in Anfield, Liverpool, at 10.45am on Friday with her baby son, Jayden, before being taken to a shopping complex to meet the unidentified man, her family said.

Ms Lewin, 34, said if she could speak to Kashalea, who has learning difficulties, she’d say: ‘I love her. She’s not in any trouble, we just want to help her, we just miss her.’

Ms Lewin said the family are very worried for the young mother and her son.

The newborn, Leanne said, has a heart murmur and needs to attend an appointment at hospital this week.

Kashalea was last seen on Friday after she said she was going to a friend’s house.

Ms Lewin claims Kashalea made it to her friend’s, but was then taken to the bus station at Liverpool One shopping complex ‘to meet a man’.

CCTV stills show Kashalea leaving her friend’s house and it is thought she went missing in the clothes she is pictured in – blue denim jeans, a black North Face coat and trainers.

Ms Lewin said she spoke to her daughter for the last time on Wednesday. The family said Kashalea’s phone is now turned off.

The worried mother said: ‘She told me that she would see me the next day. Her phone’s just off now. We’re just trying to get an appeal out there. We haven’t got any idea where she is and she’s vulnerable.’

Ms Lewin added that Kashalea had been living in Birmingham for the last year but had come home to the Anfield area of Liverpool to live with her grandmother last Monday.

She said her disappearance is ‘very unusual behaviour’.
