Selena Gomez plays tourist with mom on trip to Chicago and wears mask at airport amid Coronavirus fears

She’s coming off the release of a starkly confessional album that revealed much about her past relationship.

But Selena Gomez looked like she was totally carefree and in the moment in a social media upload posted Tuesday, which documented her recent travels to Chicago, Illinois with her beloved mother Mandy Teefey.

Selena, 27, shared a gallery of five images from the trip, and it was clear she was having fun with her mom Mandy, 43.

The first snap showed mother and daughter together, reflected on a curved metal surface looking up.

‘Momma and I being tourists. We take great pictures,’ the Rare singer began her caption.

‘OH and we went to CrimeCon! Love you Chicago and the bean,’ Selena concluded.

CrimeCon refers to CrimeCon: CrowdSolve, a three-day event for true crime lovers that took place over this past weekend.

Sign of the times: One photo in Gomez's post is a little different, indicating today's current health crisis — Selena is seen at Chicago's O'Hare airport with a mask over her face

And ‘the bean’ is a reference to the famous Cloud Gate sculpture, by artist Sir Anish Kapoor, found in the AT&T Plaza at Millennium Park in the Loop area of Chicago.

Three other snaps in Selena’s gallery were from the area around the sculpture, with one showing the songstress laughing and reaching for the camera while holing a cup of to-go coffee and dressed in a black coat.

Another showed Mandy holding her own to-go coffee, wearing a sweatshirt emblazoned with the year 1976 (her birth year) and a necklace with a key on it.

The vibe of the photos is relaxed, authentic and carefree.

The last photo in Gomez’s post is a little different, indicating today’s current health crisis — Selena is seen at Chicago’s O’Hare airport with a mask over her face.

She has her eyes closed as if she’s in the midst of laughing, and clutches either a fleece coat or a plush pillow.

Many travelers have taken to wearing masks while traveling, amid fears of the spread of COVID-19, more commonly referred to as the Coronavirus outbreak.
