The comment was made during a panel discussion about how one in three Australians admitted to stealing toilet paper from their workplace.

‘I have, I have, sorry, 2002 was a rough year,’ Sarah revealed to co-hosts Joe Hildebrand, Angela Bishop and Drysdale.

‘I wouldn’t take out rolls and rolls of it. I would just take whatever I could fit in my handbag,’ she added with a laugh.

Sarah went on to joke about how Channel Nine ‘was doing well’ at the time and could afford the missing loo rolls.

‘This opportunity came up really suddenly and it’s all happened very, very quickly,’ she said.

‘I have loved my time at Nine, I have had so many great opportunities and had colleagues who will be dear friends for life. This was something I just couldn’t say no to.’

Then-executive producer at Studio 10, Rob McKnight, said in an official statement at the time that Sarah was ‘always’ his ‘first choice’.

‘She will steer the conversation and set up the topics. She’s warm, smart and very funny. Joe [Hildebrand] won’t know what’s hit him,’ he said.
