Love Island’s Wes Nelson is collaborating with BRIT Award winner Dave the rapper on ‘chilled R&B and pop’ as he focuses on a music career
Wes Nelson has been collaborating with Dave The Rapper as he attempts to launch his own music career, it has emerged.
The Love Islander, 21, says he and the chart-topper have been getting together in the studio to work on some of Dave’s ‘chilled R&B and pop’.
The former engineer-turned-reality-star has pushed his focus towards becoming a musician recently – having appeared on Celebrity X Factor last year.

‘I’ve been in the studio with Dave, he’s been great,’ Wes is reported to have told the Sun.
‘A lot of the people I’ve been working with are really important. I’m in talks with big producers and labels.’
Dave, also 21, who won Album Of The Year at the Brit awards last week for Psychodrama, is believed to be acting as a ‘mentor’ to him.

Wes, who has built a small recording studio in his own house, added: ‘There is some very exciting stuff coming up for me but music is the main focus.’
His enthusiasm has stemmed from his appearance on Celebrity X Factor late last year alongside fellow former islanders Eyal Booker, Samira Mighty, and Zara McDermott.
And while he is making the most of his time in the studio, his relationship with 2018 Love Islander Arabella Chi is also going from strength to strength.

The pair, who appeared on separate series of the reality show, recently jetted off on a romantic getaway to the Maldives.
Their sun-soaked trip even including a evening on their own private island.
Prior to their trip, when Wes was asked if he thinks Arabella is ‘the one’, he said: ‘Of course it’s a yes, I don’t get into relationships if I’m not looking for a long-term…
