Footage shows terrifying moment a five-year-old girl climbs down the outside of a tower block from the tenth floor after being left home alone

- The girl became stuck at the sixth floor and was saved by her neighbour Li Xue
This is the heart-stopping moment a young girl clings to the outside of a residential tower block after climbing out the window in search of her mother.
The five-year-old girl, who lives on the tenth-floor flat in the city of Hefei, Anhui Province, East China, had climbed her way down four-floors before getting stuck.
Footage taken by a neighbour on Thursday shows the girl standing frozen on a 6th-floor building ledge in a pink down jacket.
The child, whose mother reportedly left her at home alone in order to buy necessities, had climbed down the side of the residential building using the security bars on the windows.
However she could go no further than the sixth floor as the building has no window bars below that and found herself stuck hanging on the ledge.
In the video, a group of residents can be seen standing on the ground floor while holding out a large blanket in a bid to catch the girl if she fell.

According to reports, the girl was unharmed and reunited with her mother as she returned to the gated community
Thankfully a brave resident of the fifth floor, Li Xue, steps out onto the ledge from their window to bring the girl safely inside.
Another man can be seen holding on to Mr Li as he attempts to reach the girl.
Mr Li, 30, said: ‘I took off my coat and stood on the ledge. Others behind me held on to my clothes as I carried the girl back inside.’

He added: ‘If it wasn’t me, someone else would’ve saved her, too.’
According to reports, the girl was unharmed and reunited with her mother as she returned to the gated community.
It is not known if any action was taken against the mother in response to the incident.
