Jennifer Garner is casual in stripy sweater and blue jeans with son Samuel, 8, in LA

She shares three children with her ex-husband Ben Affleck.

And on Sunday, Jennifer Garner was focused on her youngest child, eight-year-old son Samuel.

The actress, 47, was seen picking up the youngster from a swimming class in LA. 

Jen was dressed casually for her family-oriented Sunday pairing a striped sweater with blue jeans.

She stepped out in a pair of trainers and wore her hair tied back from her face.

The former Alias star sported large sunglasses and carried a large holdall over one shoulder.

Samuel was dressed in an adult-size blue coat that dwarfed his frame and he wore the hood up over his wet hair. 

Earlier on Sunday, Ben had been seen out and about as he geared up for a very busy day.

The actor and director, 47, is in the midst of a publicity tour for his new movie The Way Back which, in a case of art imitating life, he stars as a high school basketball coach whose battle with alcohol destroys his marriage and sends him to rehab.

Ben, of course, has endured a high profile battle with alcohol himself over the past few years, entering rehab after an intervention by Jennifer and battling to overcome his demons.

The couple, who announced their separation in 2015 after a decade of marriage, finalized their divorce in October 2018 and continue to co-parent Samuel and his sisters Violet, 14, and Seraphina, 11.
