Unwavering: It was Cameron who got her through, with her saying 'Thank God that Cameron, he never wavered throughout everything. He’s like “Look, no matter what, we’re still going to be together even if we don’t get married. We can still continue"'

Adding ‘I closed off a little bit in some ways. I had never been as happy as I have been with Cameron, and I think that scared me because I was so afraid of being disappointed, and I was projecting that onto Cameron. I had to really fight through that, and that was tough.

In regards to doubts, Cameron went through it in a methodical manner.

He said: ‘I tried to do this sort of comprehensive assessment of things like, are the family things going to be a problem? Or religious things? Or other social things? I went through that list and there was nothing that was a roadblock for us or nothing that would give me unease.’

Too perfect: Even for Cameron it seemed too good to be true. Adding: 'So I was like, “Man, this does seem too good to be true.” I think it’s a testament to the fact that when you find the right person you can just kind of know, and it doesn’t take a ton of time to know that'

‘I can’t even really post pictures of my family because we still have to keep it a secret,’ Lauren said. ‘So many great moments that we’ve just shared in the past year and a half that we haven’t been able to share with the world.’

Though she did say she plans to roll out the pictures now that they can be open about their relationship.

While Cameron added: ‘That’s a lot to catch people up on. I mean, we’re obviously fundamentally the same people in the core, but I think we’ve evolved with each other and in some ways mirrored each other, picked up each other’s mannerisms or elements of our personalities.’

The show’s creator Chris Coelen recently talked to E! News about his hit show and talked about the turmoil the producers felt not knowing exactly what would happen at the alter.

Saying: ‘They certainly could choose to do whatever they wanted to do. Again, being there on the wedding day, I personally, knowing these people and their stories, I didn’t know what was going to happen.’

‘I love that it’s sad, I love that it’s stakes because when you then have a success story like Cam and Lauren, it’s real,’ Coelen said. ‘It’s real and they are in love and that love is going to bond them for the rest of their lives.’

He added. ‘It’s incredible to be a part of that. It’s super high stakes, it’s the highest stakes in a relationship standout you can have, so you heighten the stakes to that level, you are going to have this amazing rush of success but you’re also going to have the crash of it not working out and people being devastated. It’s all real.’
