Police are hunting for a knife attacker after a man in his 40s was stabbed in Hackney, north London, early this morning.

Officers rushed to the scene after a man was found with stab wounds on Stoke Newington High Street. 

The man has been taken to hospital and his condition is not thought to be life-threatening.

Hackney Police tweeted: ‘Police were called at 07:59hrs on Tuesday, 3 March, after a man was found with a stab injury in Stoke Newington High Street.  

‘Officers attended with LAS. The man, aged in his 40s, has been taken to hospital. We await a condition update.’

The force added: ‘Police are working to establish how the victim sustained his injury. 

‘No arrests. A crime scene is in place and enquiries continue.’
