‘She texted me just saying, “I’ve loaded up, just in case.” She’s bulk-buyed. We are ready. We’ve got most of the stuff you need. I don’t know where we’d go, we haven’t got a bunker or anything. Yes, we have our own masks. Is that not a normal thing?’

He added: ‘I don’t know the ins and outs of it, I don’t know how bad the threat is, but you know, it’s better to be safe than sorry.’

Peter’s revelation comes as 36 new coronavirus cases were recorded in the UK on Wednesday in the biggest daily spike recorded on British soil, taking the number of infected patients to 87.

Health officials refused to reveal exactly whereabouts in the UK the infected patients were diagnosed but said 80 have been in England, three in Scotland, three in Northern Ireland and one in Wales.

Five of the new coronavirus cases – three in England, one in Scotland and one in Northern Ireland – caught the deadly infection in the UK, sparking fears the virus is rapidly spreading across the home nations.

Meanwhile, Abby Clancy recently revealed that she still struggles with ‘mum guilt’ as she juggles motherhood with her busy modelling career.

The fashion star said that she tries to ‘set a good example’ to her four children with her busy schedule, as she wants to keep working and be ‘the best mum she can be’.

Abbey welcomed her fourth child Jack in June 2019 with husband Peter. The couple are also parents to daughters Sophia, eight, Liberty, four, and son Johnny, two.

Abbey told OK!  that she’s still trying to figure out the dynamic of being a working mum of four, saying: ‘I think for any mum who has to or chooses to go to work, you still get stuck with that mum guilt.

‘But for me, I feel like it’s important to set a good example for them. I want to work and still be me while being the best mum I can be.

‘They are into different things and have different schedules now. Poor Sophia gets dragged along to more baby-ish places than she’d probably like to.’

Abbey added that she tries to split up the activities she takes her four children to due to their range of ages, and also tries to find things that they can all enjoy such as a trip to the farm.

The blonde beauty also said that since he retired from football last year her husband Peter has been busier than ever, meaning that sometimes it can be just the smaller moments that they spend together.
