Rebel Wilson ‘closes down’ Disneyland for her 40th birthday celebrations with $22,700 luxury dinner

Rebel Wilson marked her 40th birthday with a magical evening at Disneyland in California on Monday night.

The Australian actress kicked off the celebrations with a lavish dinner at one of the park’s most-exclusive restaurants, and later roamed Disneyland ‘after dark’ when tourists had been cleared out.

The Pitch Perfect star personally invited 11 guests to the no expense spared shindig, splashing AUD $22,700 for the coveted 21 Royal dining experience.

‘Could not have had a happier birthday with this bunch of amazing folks,’ Rebel captioned a selection of photos from the evening.

At 21 Royal, there is a US $1250 price per head with a maximum 12-person booking, priced at US $15,000 (AUD $22,700).  

Rebel was joined at the magnificent five-hour dining experience by her personal trainer Jono Castanoa and his wife Amy, Snapchat’s VP of product Jacob Andreou, British TV host Carly Steel, TV presenter Marissa Montgomery, Pitch Perfect 3 co-star Chrissie Fit, Canadian actor Drew Scott and wife Linda Phan, hairstylist Nicole Leal, talent agent Jessica Kovacevic and photographer Josh Sep. 

During her dinner, Rebel wore a special set of Mickey Mouse ears with a cupcake at the centre, which were gifted to her by Disney to mark her milestone birthday.

She also bragged about being sent a birthday letter by fictional character Mickey Mouse himself. 

Footage showed Rebel being serenaded happy birthday by her friends as she blew out the candles on her Disney-branded cake. 

After the group finished their incredible dessert, they congregated on the balcony for a special viewing of fireworks. 

Guests of 21 Royal are also known to receive a branded maroon gift bag, containing a commemorative lapel pin along with tea, pastries, and coffee beans at the end of their experience.

However, the magic didn’t appear to stop there.

Rebel shared videos of her dinner party guests on mobility scooters as they explored the park after tourists had cleared out at 2am.

‘Only Rebel could close down Disney for her birthday,’ one of her friends captioned a post from the evening.

She also appeared to treat some of her entourage to matching Disney-branded tracksuit ensembles, which retail for AUD$151. 

The entire 21 Royal suite contains a courtyard, two bedrooms with two full bathrooms, a balcony, and an elegant dining room.

In some of her closest pals’ Instagram stories on the evening, it appeared a few stayed the night in the opulent residence. It’s unclear at what cost.  

Earlier in the evening, the larger group also enjoyed a few rides at the park.
