It’s happened again: Ariana Grande got hit by another swatting hoax 911 call.

Someone called the emergency line to report a shooting on the property of the pop superstar’s Los Angeles home around 5 p.m. Wednesday, according to TMZ.

Police officers were sent to investigate the report, where they quickly ascertained that nothing was wrong and that the singer had been swatted, which is a harassing tactic of deceiving emergency services into sending a response team to another person’s. address.

Law enforcement sources told the publication officers were initially skeptical that a crime had been committed because Grande had been swatted in the past.

But still they sent two cars over to the residence and spoke with the property manager, who quickly put them at ease by confirming nothing nefarious had happened.

Police took a 911 abuse report, and will continue to investigate the case to dissuade swatting calls, which take vital time and resources away from actual emergency calls.

Some other high-profile stars who have been swatted over the years include Tom Cruise, Pharrell Williams, Rihanna, Justin Bieber Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs, Justin Timberlake and Selena Gomez.

Appearing to be unaffected by the incident, Grande was active with her fans on Twitter on Thursday without any mention of the hoax 911 call.  

The Florida native wrapped up her Sweetener World Tour in December that was launched in support of her fourth and fifth studio albums: Sweetener (2018) and Thank U, Next (2019).

The tour, which started in March 2019, was a critical and commercial success, grossing over $146 million from 97 shows.

But despite her massive artistic output the last couple of years, Grande’s not resting on her laurels anytime soon. She recently confirmed social media chatter that she has in fact been in the recording studio working on new music.   

All five of her full-length albums have been certified platinum or better by the RIAA.
